It is Clauss Construction’s policy to provide a safe and healthful working environment and implement operating practices that ensure a safe work environment for everyone.

Clauss construction considers no phase of operations or administration to be of greater importance than injury and illness prevention. Safety takes precedence over expediency or shortcuts. Accidents represent a needless waste of human resources and economic loss. A safe and healthful operation conserves human and material resources, and is essential for efficient production.

Our Safety Program catalogues the safe methods for performing various tasks involved in decommissioning and demolition activities. Our supervisors are well versed in standard safety procedures and Clauss Construction‘s Health and Safety Plan, which references the ANSI code, OSHA, EPA, and other region or project-specific requirements and governmental regulations. The use of good common sense and vast past experience in the industry are also very important.

All levels of management have a primary responsibility for the safety of all employees. The employee in turn is expected to adhere to company regulations and policies.

These responsibilities can be met only by working continuously to promote safe work practices among all employees and to maintain property and equipment in safe operating conditions. By working together, we can maintain a safe working environment for all employees.

Affording the workers the opportunity to contribute is essential to ensure success in this endeavor. We are fully committed to an integrated safety management system approach and its promise of protection for workers, the public, and the environment. We are fully committed to the achievement of ZERO ACCIDENT PERFORMANCE.

This is accomplished through good planning, process ownership by line management, compliant execution of daily tasks, and frequent, self-assessments to assure continued improvement.
